Obituary of Ivan W. Miller

Ivan W. Miller of Rush/Henrietta and also of Honeoye died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Friendly Home. He was 90. Ivan was born May 31, 1919 in Mendon, NY the son of George and Ida Steffen Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean; daughters, Sue (David) Schwaner, Beverly Dastgir, Sandra (Alan) Forman, Barbara (Steve) Perry, Wendy (Dale) Ryan, Cindy (Wayne) Minns; son, David (Kathryn) Miller; granddaughters, Carrie and Melissa Ryan; brother, Bernard Miller; several nieces and nephews. Ivan was predeceased by his brother Everett Miller and granddaughter Erica Forman. Ivan was a Veteran of WW II serving from 1944 to 1948. He was a graduate of Fairport High School in 1936; a member of the Rush Henrietta and Honeoye Lake Rotary Clubs. He received the Paul Harris Fellow, and was recipient of the Presidents Citation for 48 years of perfect attendance. He was also owner-operator of the former Ivan Miller Inc. located on Route 15 in Rush for 40 years. Friends may call Monday, March 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc., 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Friends and family will meet at the Creation Chapel at Whitehaven Memorial Park on Tuesday, March 16 at 1 pm for his Funeral Service.
