I knew Mr Miller from my days working as a Renault mechanic.Nobody knew more about Renaults than Ivan or Ken Dalglish who was my boss at the time. When Ivan was closing shop I bought the last Motoski snowmobile that he had unearthed.Still have the Motoski and run it from time to time. They don't make mechanics or men like him.

Went to several lunches with the Friendly Home. My thoughts are with the family, especially Jean. Bernie used to farm our land in Mendon so I reminisced with Jean & Ivan about the "Mendon days". I will keep the family in my prayers. I always spoke to Ivan when I visited at the Friendly Home whenever I saw him. He was a good man.

Ivan W. Miller
11/14/2001: “Rotarian of the Week” - Honeoye Lake Rotary Club (by Ralph Lustig)
Until his current illness, Ivan Miller had the distinction of perfect Rotary attendance through regular meetings or with makeup meetings throughout the United States and in foreign countries since joining Rotary in 1962.
Ivan first joined the Rush-Henrietta Rotary Club in May of 1962, as his auto sales and repair business was located in Rush. He moved his family to Honeoye in 1990 and joined the Honeoye Lake Rotary Club in 1991. Shortly thereafter Ivan became our Club Treasurer and Sergeant-At-Arms, positions he held until this spring (of 2001).
Ivan exemplifies the meaning of Rotarian, as he welcomes the opportunity for service. He’s always one of the first to volunteer for virtually every club activity, including community projects like the roadside cleanup, Camp Honeoye, Camp Onseyawa, charity golf tournaments, fund raising, and Rotary educational meetings. Ivan has been someone we could always count on.
In addition to his longstanding community dedication, Ivan received a Paul Harris fellowship in 1988, a tribute to his support to International Service, one of the four avenues of Rotary.
Thank you, Ivan, for all your years of service.

I'm so sorry for your loss - I knew Ivan when he fixed my Renault 5 Le Car so many times and kept me on the road as a grad student in PA from around '86-'94 - i really appreciated his help, his thoughtfulness and his humour. Have thought of him often.

When we lived in Rush we took all of our cars to Ivan for repair. Whenever we went, our son, Michael, who was 2-3yrs old at the time, had to go to visit with "Meester Meeller". They would rummage thru the "stuff" in the shop together. Our son was facinated by him. So sorry for your loss.

I was saddened to hear the news of my uncle's death. I am glad I got to see him on my last trip home. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend his service because of my work schedule. I will be thinking of everyone and hope to talk with family members real soon.

For many years I accompanied my parents to Ivan's business to get our cars fixed. We went to him because we trusted him to fix our cars right. I went to him after I became an adult for the same reasons. I will never forget his shop with supplies piled everywhere and a little aisle to walk through to get to the chairs.
