Obituary of Flora Jane Burton

Flora Jane Burton (McNair) of Honeoye Falls, died, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Avon Nursing Home. She was 93. Flora Jane was born May 12, 1916 in Mt. Morris, NY the daughter of Arthur E. and Elizabeth Bell Trewer McNair. She worked for many years at the former Cunningham's in Honeoye Falls. She was very active in the Honeoye Falls Community; a member of the Honeoye Falls United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, Honeoye Falls Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Genesee Valley Quilt Club and was a member of the Democratic Party, helping every year on the Election Board. Flora Jane was predeceased by her husband, Asa S. Burton, and grandson, Rodney Jones. She is survived by her children, Flora E. Burton, Sidney (Nancy Hershey) Burton, Kathy (Bob) Wilkins, Asa A. (Linda) Burton; grandchildren, Amy Lynn (Tracy) Dunbar, Tracy Anne (Dave Preston) Jones, Tristan (Aprille) Burton, Talisin (Megan) Burton; step grandchildren, James Skowronski, Amy (Rick) Quinn and Corey Moss; great grandchildren, Rebecca Jane and Kristina Dunbar, Samuel, Maxwell, Talisin Jr. Burton; step great grandchildren, Paige and Nicholas Quinn. Special family friend, Tom Sanderson; 3 sisters in law, Phyllis McNair, Elva Haley and Mary Burton. Friends may call, Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, where Services will be held Wednesday, February 17, at 11 am. Burial, Honeoye Falls Cemetery.
