We were saddened to hear of Mrs. Berton's passing. I always enjoyed visiting with her. We being Presbyterian and she being Methodist made it seldom that I saw her but when I did, we visited for so long. Such a lovely, caring lady. She will be missed.

We have many memories of Flora as her neighbors in later years. She was a grand lady. She always had time to stop and chat a minute and always smiling. Our deepest sympathy to the family. We are sorry we are not able to call, but we have all of you in our prayers.

Mrs. Burton was always a pleasant lady to talk to. She always had some interesting stories to share. She and her husband Asa were friends with my grandparents, and many of those stories included them. Many years ago she shared a banana bread receipe with me, and to this day I have not found one better. I will always remember her when baking this bread.

Flora Jane was a wonderful friend, neighbor and mentor! She will be remembered with great love and memories! She was a caring and gentle teacher of many things (crocheting, cooking, how to run a rummage sale, how to care for others, etc.) and a faithful friend. And she was never at a lost for a good memory to tell you about. She led a very productive and meaningful life! I will miss her!
