so long pops my dearest friend. we came along way you & I. I will always be in your debt for all you've done for all of us, & for the lessons I have learned from you. the memories of flying an airplane as a mere lad, (sorry for the dive's & for putting us on the roof now n then, but we did have some grins didn't we)for the times we'd attend college debates @ R.I.T., U of R, M.C.C. where you sat on the panel of judges (I cherish those memories & all I learned from you trying to help those students & the gratitude they had for your sharing your knowledge with them). we are far poorer without your help, wisdom, & wit now dad, but I daresay you've earned your place in Heavens embrace extremely well. you came from just about nothing, & pulled yourself up from the bottom, & are now leaving a legacy of friendship, & knowledge for many, many generations to come. your going to be sorely missed. I'm quite certain & satisfied that you are being welcomed by a great many of your loved ones now, & I can see you already telling jokes, & crackin' wise. rest in peace pops! (:-{)

Bob became dear to my heart at the Cdga VA where I was his recreation therapist in Gladwin Hall. We often had chats about his military service and his various careers/hobbies. If we had a school group come in to interview the vets, I would have him tell of his WWII experience. He loved to tell jokes and get everyone laughing. Bob had a wide array of interests and tried to stay active with them all. After many a program, he would state his opinion of the event, if I wanted to hear it or not, and then tell me I did a good job. With all his worldly experience this meant a great deal to me.
Bob, I will miss your cute little smile, your adventuresome spirit and zest for life. May you rest in peace.

We hadn't known Bob for too long but he always treated us with respect. Cork shared a room with him at the Canandaigua VA. for the past few months. Bob always had a joke to share with us. He will be missed by many.
Thank You Bob for serving our country.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
