We heard of Tom's death about five years ago and were deeply saddened by the news. He was a gentle soul. He'll always be in our prayers. Our son Dan recently discovered Tom's memorial stone at the Ave Maria oratory. He sent us a photo of the stone. Our condolences to Ruth and Mary and Jeffrey. ... I enjoyed working with Tom and knowing him on a personal level. We shared many interests; family church, the outdoors, interesting engineering challenges. He was the smartest structural engineer I've known. He was fun to be around and kept his sense of humor even in stressful times. I will miss him.

My dearest Tommy, You will be greatly missed my sweet one. I thank the good lord for all the wonderful memories and good times that we shared: from the time I first held you as baby to the last dinner Uncle Miles and I had with you in Florida. The great pride you felt for Mary and Jeff and the love in your eyes when we talked about them. Your smile and gentleness always touched my heart. Your gentle spirit lives on in all who loved and knew you. Give Dhea a hug for me and know that you are both in my heart forever. God bless you and keep you always in his care. Love, hugs and kisses, Aunt Bobbie

What a great picture of Tom! It still seems unreal. I am comforted by the fact that he is no longer in pain and is at rest with God. I know the new normal will be strange but Tom would want us all to keep living our lives to the fullest. His legacy of love will live on.

I was fortunate to be there to see the light in Tom's eyes (Ruthie's too) during their early dating days. It was clear from the first moments that you were destined to be together. I am thankful for our decades long friendship. My prayers go out continually for you, Mary, Jeff and your family. Today it is our Christmas but it is Tom's Easter.

My sympathy to the Tyson Family. It has been years since I have seen Tom, but I am also a former Grand Islander. Tom will always be with you in the memories you have created and the love that hold your heart together.

I'll miss you Tom as will many others. I always appreciated your interest in taking on mechanical chores which were never my area of interest or expertise. Its great that you got to use them to build great things like the Ave Maria oratory. You were a great brother to grow up with and you've raisd outstanding children. I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to enjoy the next phase of life as they blossom on their own and you could relax more with Ruth.
Love,
Dave
