Verna always made me smile. Her keen eye, love of kids and the ability to see the humor in something that happened on the bus...made her days "on the road' chronicle of things to share. She was a good and special person and we are better for knowing her.

When I first met Verna, at a bus-driver refresher course she was helping to give in 1988, I never thought she would become a special person to me and my family. She was the kindest and funniest person to help us get over the bumpy roads of life. Through her convincing arguments I joined the School Bus Safety Road-Eo and we worked with new friends there. Her passing dims the light of my existence but at least she is with her husband and she can pester mine. All our prayers are with the family. Joanne Grape
