Kingston, Marjorie M.
Honeoye Falls: A long time resident of Honeoye Falls, Mrs. Kingston died, Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at age 104. She was born the daughter of Fred and Bertha Wells Dailey on July 30, 1904 in Syracuse, NY. She graduated from nursing school in NYC and had a long and varied career as a registered nurse. In 1949, she along with her late husband, moved to Honeoye Falls where they owned Kingston Farm Machinery, Inc. for 25 years. She was an active member of Honeoye Falls Methodist Church, the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Senior Citizens Club where she received the Senior Citizen of the Year award in 1995, and was also a member of Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH). Always an active person, Marjorie looked forward to her weekly Bridge game, even at age 102. She also loved to travel taking her last cruise at age 91 through the Panama Canal. She was awarded the "Athlete of the Year" by the Honeoye Falls-Lima School for her dedication to aqua-aerobics, even though she couldn't swim.
Mrs. Kingston was predeceased by her husband, Squire Kingston and her son John MacDonald. She is survived by her son Richard Kingston, her daughter Barbara Lax and her sister Dorothy Luchinsinger. 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in Honeoye Falls in the late spring.
