I have many fond memories of my high school music teacher in the Bloomfield Central Schools. He was an inspiration to me as I pursued the same career. He helped me obtain a local scholar sponsored by the BCS Teachers' Association and when several years later I held the same teaching position as he held at BCS, I was highly honored when he attended one of my concerts.
Mr. O Mara or "Chief" as he was lovingly called was a dedicated, talented and fun-loving teacher. He was a professional educator through and through.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I know he's in the closer embrace of our loving God. Thank you, Mr. O'Mara.
