Obituary of George L. Walike

George Lee Walike (1929-2023) George Lee Walike, 93, of Honeoye Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester, NY on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was born in Bath on November 17, 1929, to Anthony and Mamie Walike. George attended Savona Central School before joining the Army in February 1951. George retired from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation after a 40- year career at the Bath Fish Hatchery. George was preceded in death by his sister, Helen (Young), and three brothers, Edward, Henry, and Bruce, and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marjorie, three children, daughter Amy Mincher (Gary) of Rhinebeck, NY, two sons Christopher Walike of Bath, NY, Bradley Walike (Joann) of Honeoye Falls, NY, and four grandchildren, Melissa Mincher (Karl), Megan Mincher, Jennifer Walike and Casey Walike. There will be a private service for immediate family members in December.
