Obituary of Doris H. Pettis

Doris H. Pettis of Rush/Henrietta died at age 94 on December 30, 2013 at the Avon Nursing Home. She was born August 29, 1919 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Albert and Helen VanEptf Ott. She was predeceased by her husband George. Doris retired from Kodak as a bookkeeper, she was a 4H leader, an avid reader and a CE teacher at St. Joseph's Church. She had a special place in her heart for Ogunquit Beach, ME. Survived by her 2 daughters, Julie (Terry) Graham and Barbara (Steve) Manning; nephews, Roger, Jimmy, Billy and Johnny Pettis; nieces, Kirsten Hladis and Linda Mason, as well as many dear friends including, Susan Udicious who mom considered to be like a daughter. The family would like to thank the Avon Nursing Home for all the exceptional care given. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Marianne Cope Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 1209 Rush West Rush Road on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:30 am.
