To the family of Dr. John "Jack" Burns,
I had the privilege of being Jack's classmate for 4 years and roommate at Cornell University. We exchanged numerous life stories. The greatest one was the horrific one involving the loss of a leg as a teenager and his journey to Cornell. He deserved every blessing that ever followed him.
My life has forever become richer for having known him.
Jack, my cherished friend, may God wrap his arms around you and keep you forever.
Your ole roomie, Rudy

My kind thoughts and love to you with the passing of your John Burns. He was our favorite vet!! He and my husband were also buddies because of his "CAT" equipment toy that he enjoyed. Fond, fond memories of him and also of Ann. Blessings to you.

My parents found how good and helpful Dr, Burns was on a Christmas night in the late 1960's, Our dog Yogi came home bleeding badly at the neck. He had been bitten by another dog. My parents called several vets but Dr, Burns said to bring him right over. He stiched him up that Christmas night with competence and compassion, he probably saved Yogi's life. From then on Dr, Burns was our vet, So, on behalf of my Mom and Dad, who are passed on but I know would want to convey this message to his family, Dr. Burns was a wonderful veterinarian. I send appreciation for his many years of good work. Thank you.

Uncle Jack was a wonderful example for all those who knew him. Too many good memories to list. I take comfort knowing he is in heaven with Aunt Ann and all his loved ones.

Dr.Burns was our vet in the 1960' and '70' Remember taking our shepard mix, Lady to him. He was always so friendly. Back in the days, when perhaps the majority of people thought of dogs and cats as property, they never took their animals to the vet for anything...it was probably very hard to get established. I remember the Dr. And his family fixing up the old "haunted house" on 15A. Dr. Burns was a firm part of Henrietta in those busy growing years after WW2
