It is with great sadness to hear of Mr. Bond’s passing, I was one of his students at Rush Henrietta Roth back in the early 80s and he certainly made an impact on my continued passion of woodworking to this very day. Sometimes it's difficult to put into words how much of it an impact a teacher will have but rest assured Mr. Bond made a tremendous impact in my life and for that I am truly grateful. It was a pleasure to know him and I'm sure he will be truly missed. You have my deepest condolences for your loss.

To John's Family, Bonnie and I join those families and friends fortunate to have John in their lives. We have missed having John with us, but his friendship, humor, generosity, and skills remain in the times shared throughout his life. We will miss John, but we will treasure our memories of John. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Bond, Mr. DeWald, and Mr. Lyons of the Technology Department at Rush-Henrietta inspired me to become a Technology Teacher. I am in my 20th year of teaching and often reflect on the positive roll models these gentlemen played in my life while in high school. Mr. Bond was a gifted teacher and influenced me to become a positive roll model in my school. Please accept my condolences.
Former Student,

Eric, Brian, Maureen, Danny and Sara,
I’m so sorry for your loss. John was a terrific friend for over 40 years. We shared many wonderful memories. John and I worked together at Roth. He and Joe loved to the sport of hockey. They coached our sons, played on the same hockey team and went to games together. During summer they were out on the golf course. I will keep memories of John close to my heart.
May the love of family and friends carry you through your grief.
With sympathy and love.
