Obituary
Obituary of Frederick Charles Arner
Frederick Charles Arner of Lima, NY: June 3, 1932 - January 16, 2022. Passed peacefully at home with his family by his side. Born in North Bloomfied to Laverne Arner and Florence Olmstead, he spent his childhood on his grampa's farm. Growing up he became well known for his Mercurys especially the yellow one! He married Irene Hill on June 18, 1955, and celebrated 66 years of marriage. Serving in the Army from 1955-1958, he was stationed in Wisconsin, Missouri and France. Instead of a career, Fred choose a lifestyle of farming, where he taught his children to love and support each other, be humble to others, respect nature/land/animals and to give back. Fred's favorite pastimes included hunting, square dancing, laughing and joking especially with his George Frances' Buddies, and spending time on the front porch taking the world in while waving to all who passed by. Family was very important him and his children adored him. Throughout his entire life, he was a man of few words with a big caring heart for those he loved. Special thanks to: his nephew and niece, John and Char Hill; granddaughter, Danielle; The teams at Dr. Morgans and Regional Health Lifetime in Lakeville; Brandi Hurst; and to Shelly Hierl of Regional Health, who made him laugh and feel special. Survived and missed by his wife, Irene; children, Frederick Kevin Arner (Bobbi Short), Kenny (Pam Poprawski) Arner, Keith Arner and Laurie (David) Arner-Macaluso; 6 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his beloved sidekick, Sassycat, along with many great neighbors and cherished friends. Siblings, Mabel Thayer (Rochester), Charles (Rita) Arner (Lima), and Diane Thomas (AZ).
