Obituary of Donald G. Hammond

Donald G. Hammond, formerly of Honeoye Falls, died peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Donald was born March 6, 1945 in Laramie, Wyoming. He is predeceased by his parents, Donald & Ruth Hammond, and his loving spouse Linda. Donald is survived by his loving son Scott (Jamie); his beloved grandchildren Landon, Olivia, & Avielle; his brother Gary & twin sister Donna; a host of nieces and nephews; and his dearest friend Matt (Kathleen) Ebeling. Donald spent his entire career working for Monroe County Parks, and Mendon Ponds was a very special place to him. He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, and the New York Yankees. No prior calling, memorial at the convenience of family. As a coach, Don spent several years teaching his son, and others, the game of baseball.
