Obituary of May E. Hodgeman

May E. Hodgeman, age 97 of Honeoye died Monday, January 17, 2021. She was born May 31, 1923 in Lima, NY to the late Rensselaer and Elsie Werder VanVliet. May worked for many years at the Assessment Control Clerk in the Tax Records at the Ontario County Complex. She was a 49 year member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Post #1278 Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid golfer. May was predeceased by her husband John "Jack" and her son Bruce. May is survived by her children, Glenn (Michelle) Hodgeman, Kenneth (Karen) Hodgeman, Sheila (James) Mitchell, Sylvia (Dan Smith) Hodgeman; daughter-in-law Debora Hodgeman; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. No prior calling. Services will be held privately. Burial, Richmond Center Cemetery, Honeoye. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion.
