Hi there I had a studio right down from Micheal. He was a wonderful guy, he painted my studio walls, did gardening work for me and loved to hang out with my husband when we had open studios. I have one of his cloud paintings in my home that shines with the light. Our sincere condolences on the loss of Micheal he will be missed. Lauren and Gary
My mother (Roberta Gambel) called me this morning with the sad news of Michaels passing. I have very fond memories of Michael from when I was much younger. He was a dear friend of my mother's back in the 1970's and 1980's. So much so that when we went on a trip to California in 1978 we made a special trip to San Francisco to visit him. I've added a few photos I have from circa 1977-78. The first photo is Michael on the left, me and my Mother (I am uncertain who the infant is that my mother is holding). The second photo is of Michael and a toddler (perhaps one of his nieces).
My mother and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Michael's family and friends.
