To Shirley’s family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Shirley was a wonderful supporter of our library. My best memory is of Shirley at a town board meeting where some board members and the supervisor weren’t supportive of a new library. Shirley spoke during public comment time and wrote a check at that moment in support of the new library. It was a powerful statement.
May she rest in everlasting peace. God bless you Shirley!

Cindy, Randy, Mary Beth and family, I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. You wrote such a beautiful tribute to her life. She and mom were such good friends and when my mom passed 5 years ago, Shirley wrote such a kind note to us. She will be missed but know she is now in Heaven with your dad.

I was deeply saddened to see that Shirley had passed. When I moved to Rochester in 1988 I applied for a job at Highland Hospital. When I was hired I had the pleasure of sharing an office with Shirley. She was always happy to help me learn. I will never forget how we would listen to WXXI while scheduling out patient surgery reservations, talking about our love for music and gardening and sharing our antique adventures and how she loved the toile plates in red. She spoke often of Walter and her children and we had some great life and world solving conversations. We sang and whistled through our work days. She truly was a remarkable woman and friend. We will plant a rose bush in the spring in our memorial garden to remember you. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. May God bless you and keep you.
Love you Shirley.

Growing up I always looked forward to our get togethers with my cousins Randy, Cindy and Beth Roser. Whether it was at their home or our grandfather’s place in Rush, NY. We always had a great time! And my Aunt Shirley always added to our happiness! She was always so positive and upbeat! Had a great smile and laugh! I will me her deeply! All my love!

My heart goes out to Cindy, Beth, Randy, Uncle Bob and Aunt Pat. My sweet Aunt Shirley was like a second Mom to me. We spent many hours talking on the phone and visiting my Mom, her Sister together. Her patience with my Mom was so precious.....she would bring a Hershey’s chocolate bar (mom’s favorite) every visit and hand fed it to her. That’s who she was. Her laugh and sense of humor was delightful. We always talked about her children and grandchildren. Her love and enjoyment of them in her life made her complete. At 92, she had a very long and fulfilled life. May she Rest In Peace now with her beloved Walt and my Mom Jeanne. I will miss you very much sweet soul.

What a beautiful tribute you all wrote! I guess that was easy since Shirley had a long and full life. I loved reading about the parts I didn't know. I learned Shirley was her high school valedictorian and Walter was her high school sweetheart - so sweet. Thank you for sharing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all.
