As grandmothers, Nan and I spent a lot of time talking and bragging about our grandchildren. We shared many stories through tears and laughter.
After her diagnosis, I would call to check on her periodically and more than once she expressed how concerned she was about her children sacrificing their time to take care of her. She kept repeating, " but they have their lives and they are so busy." It was all about her children.
We'll miss you, Nan.
