Diane and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom.
I have great memories from long ago hanging around the Batte's house after school. Mrs. Batte was always nice, understanding and an adult you could talk to. I will always remember her and the fun times Diane and I had.

Mrs. Batte was one of the most amazing woman I had the honor of knowing. She was beautiful kind sweet and classy. I used to love going to her house when we were kids. It remains my favorite house ever. It is a time capsule that brings back such happy memories. I remember sitting around the kitchen table next to that wonderful stove with the long light pull hanging overhead being fed Mrs. Battes sandwiches and cakes and cookies. I remember sleepovers in the trundle drawer in the girls room. What a happy sweet time in my childhood. It is something I will never forget & the kindest most beautiful lady that shared her time with me. I’m am so thankful that I got to see her a few times lately. She gave me a couple of her famous recipes that I will make & remember her fondly. I love you Mrs. Batte. Thanks for being you.

Dearest friend, loving mother and grandmother - her family was the core of her life and she served all of those members very well. She had a great sense of humor, she loved music and concerts and always had a cup of coffee or tea available to enjoy over a good chat. She will be missed terribly but she left such loving memories that those will erase the aches of loss. My sincere sympathy to all. She was a caring, caring friend.
