Obituary of Dorothy G. Hobday

Dorothy Geersten Hobday of Honeoye Falls, NY passed away peacefully on October 14, 2013 at age 92. She was born in Scotia, NY on December 9, 1920 the daughter of Nelsen and Beatrice Yates Geersten. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Hobday, her sister Kate Grose, brother Edwin Geersten and great granddaughter Abigayle Knight. Dorothy is survived by her son, Robert J. (Bonnie) Hobday; granddaughters, Susan (David) Knight, Kelli (David) Conner; grandchildren, Jessica Knight, Lauren Conner, Nate Conner, Michael Knight; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Dorothy attended Albany State Teacher College and was a volunteer for 22 years at the Arthritis Foundation in Delaware. The family is grateful to Barbara McDougall-Serafin, the staff at Pinehurst Living Community, and the staff of Serenity Homecare for their loving, excellent care. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. John's Episcopal Church in Honeoye Falls, the Antique Wireless Museum in Bloomfield, or a charity of ones choice.
