Obituary of William R. Grant

William Richard Grant ("Bill" or "Will") 63, of Rush, New York, passed away on November 25th, 2019 in Rochester, New York. Calling hours will be held at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St. Honeoye Falls, NY on Friday November 29th at 10am - 1PM. Merton H. Kays will be handling the funeral arrangements. Bill was born in Buffalo, NY to Edgar and Dorothy Grant (Coburn) on July 30th, 1956. He attended Orchard Park High School and graduated in 1975. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Biology from Buffalo State College. He enjoyed riding jet skis, going on cruises and spending time with his 7 grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela, Rochester, NY, Children: Nate (Sheila) of Farmington, NY, Jessica (Mark) of Penn Yan, NY and Josh (Elizabeth) of Wilmington, NC, grandchildren: Evelyn, Brooklyn, Coralyn, Ryan, Hudson, Hayden and Haley, niece Trisha Grant (Kevin), sister Kathy (Doug) and niece Krista. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Thomas. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or please consider Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, NY. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Strong hospital. You took such great care of Bill during his stay there and the family greatly appreciates your compassion.
