Obituary of Joyce E. Stephens

Joyce Elizabeth Stephens of Lima, NY passed away at age 92 peacefully in her sleep on September 27th, 2019 in her bed at home. She was predeceased by her husband Zerland "Red" and son Ronald Stephens. She was an active member of the West Bloomfield Congregational Church (WBCC), Bible Study group and Red Hat Society "Bloomfield Bloomers". Joyce loved taking care of the many gardens around the house and watching the beautiful birds out her window. She lived an active life even pushing her great grandchildren on the swings up until last month. She was a 67 year member of the Round Hill Chapter of Eastern Star, she retired from AAA Services of Binghamton after 25 years in 1987. She is survived by her daughter Lynda (David) Pallone of Horseheads, NY. Her daughter-in-law Sara Stephens of Lima, Grandsons Adam (Jaclyn) Stephens and Jeremy (Meralys) Stephens, Granddaughters Tammy and Alanna Pallone and 8 wonderful great grand kids. Everyone loved Joyce's smile and comforting personality. She was a faithful, gentle and loving woman we will all miss dearly. One memorial service will be held at the WBCC on Saturday Oct 12th at 2pm.
