Obituary of Denis G. Gamache

Denis G. Gamache of Honeoye Falls, NY, died Friday, November 23, 2018 at age 76. He was born June 10, 1942 in Rhode Island to the late Sarto and Alida Lusser Gamache. He is survived by his wife of 55 years and best friend Bonnie; sons, Paul (Tiffany) and Dominic (Charlene); daughters, Suzanne (Petra Romero-Miranda) Gamache and Renee (Kevin) Kinney; grandchildren, Jean-Paul, Brianna, Emily, Jakes, Zach, Gloria and Laila; sisters, Francoise Rogers and Gilberte Reeves; sister-in-law, Claire Gamache; several nieces, nephews, long-time friends and new friends. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline Normandin and his brother Raymond Gamache. Before moving to Honeoye Falls, NY his home was in East Thetford, Vermont. He was active in town as the Assistant Chief of the Volunteer Fire Department, as a Boy Scout leader, as President of the East Thetford Water Company and as a Giver of practical jokes. He found his God in the silence and peace and beauty of his favorite place on earth, his camp built with the help of his four children on Averill Lake, in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont Friends may call Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Catherine of Siena, 26 Mendon-Ionia Road, Mendon.
