Donna, Keena & Family,
I only just learned. What a terrific and generous friend! On his jog or bike by our house in the Village, he would always stop by to chat about the latest or next excursion to the mountains or the century ride he had coming up. We shared that love for both the Adirondacks and biking the countryside. He was one tough guy with the staying power to endure any challenge, in any weather condition, climbing or biking.
We're indebted for his many years of volunteering and working the Youth Trophy Cup Runs event with Bob Dykes, Pat Washington and myself. He loved those kids and was a fixture guiding them on the course every year. He always stayed to the very end to help take down and pack up the last tent pole or fold up the last table.
An amazing, always adventuresome, vital and joyous gentleman -- he will be always in my heart.

Oh my Keena. I am so sorry for your loss. You always spoke so highly of your father, and how you shared your love of the outdoors, too. My sympathies are with you.
