Dear Blakeney Family, Although I've only had the opportunity to meet Jim on one occasion, I must say I am sad to not have had another opportunity this side of heaven. Jim and Julia welcomed me into their home one wintery day for a meal and I could just sense the love and commitment they had for one another. It didn't take me long to understand how Mark turned out to be such a fine professional. I remember Jim's numerous offerings of snack and drink while working in the garage that day. I also vividly remember the excellent food and conversation around the table. May this time of loss be a time for you as a family to stay strong together and share one another's burdens. Jim, I thank you for your service to this country and for the fine job of parenting as evidenced through Mark. May God's peace and love abide with you all.
