Obituary of Helen T. Seiler

Helen T. Seiler, 100 of Largo, Florida, formerly of Honeoye Falls, NY passed away July 1, 2017. Helen is survived by her son Charles "Pepper" Seiler, grandchildren Carla Zupan and David Seiler, 5 great grandchildren, Denver and Mariah Zupan, Hanna, Madison and Paige Seiler, nephew Peter Seiler and grandniece Ellen Dombroski. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie, formerly of Honeoye Falls, NY. Helen was born in Buffalo, NY and met her husband Charlie while working as an Efficiency Analyst for Colonial Radio. After "Pepper" was born the family moved to Kenmore where they lived for a short time prior to the family moving to Honeoye Falls in 1947 where she spent most of her life. She lost her husband in 1984 and eventually moved from her home on East Street to the Pinhurst Living Facility where she was a resident for over 21 years until relocating to the Season's Assisted Living Facility in Largo, Florida, in November of 2016, to be near her son, two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Helen was a member of the local Honeoye Falls Catholic Church for almost 70 years and was an active member in support of many Church functions. In addition to the Church, Helen was active with several other charitable groups that included; the Red Cross, Volunteer work for Cancer Society and Meals on Wheels, where she was one of the first people involved in the startup for the Honeoye Falls area. For fun, Helen loved to play cards and belonged to several card clubs that included poker, pinochle and euchre. On January 1, 2017, Helen celebrated her 100th birthday. The family had a private luncheon celebration at the Season's followed by a mid-afternoon recognition and cake with the residents of the Season's. Helen will probably tell you her secrets to longevity included: giving up smoking, a good drink before dinner, and having caring family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and especially her family. God bless you mom.
