When we lived in Lima I often went to St. Paul's, I remember how friendly Father Vogt was and made us feel welcome. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Father Vogt was my parish Priest at St. Patrick's in Elmira from 1960-1967. He served there with Father John Hayes, Pastor, and Father Michael Hogan. I remember him as a dedicated Priest, a peaceful/quiet man and a very personable friend of my family and me. I was invited to his 40th anniversary of priesthood and attended Mass at his 55th anniversary also. My wife and I met many of his family and were very proud to be included in those celebrations. Rest in Peace Father - your work on earth is done and you have gained a special place in Heaven!
