Obituary of Jeanne I. Traugott

JEANNE IRENE STEARNS TRAUGOTT Entered Life Eternal on June 11, 2016 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Prescott Traugott. For many years the couple lived on Doran Street in Rochester and then in Honeoye Falls. Their final resting place is Honeoye Falls Cemetery. She is survived by her brother Robert Stearns and his wife, Janice; sister-in-law Marguerite (Skip) Traugott; three sons and their wives - Kurt and Jodie, Norman and Janis, Craig and Cathy; 7 grandchildren – Kellie, Korrie, Shannon, Chad, Jesse, Katie, Joshua; as well as 7 great-grandchildren - Arianna, Ayden, Ashtyn, Ayvre, Maxim, Mara, Parker; a niece and 4 nephews. Her brother-in-law Albert Traugott and a nephew, also predeceased her. A loving and devoted mother and homemaker, Jeanne was extremely active in PTA and at the family's church, Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Rochester. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Job's Daughters International. A Memorial Service will be held for her on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 11 A.M. at Parma Greece United Church of Christ, 1211 Manitou Rd at Latta Rd., Hilton, NY. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the Parma Greece UCC Church (address above) or to Teresa House, 21 Highland Road, Geneseo NY 14454. Teresa House, a two resident bedroom home, offers a comfort care ministry to residents who are nearing the end of a terminal illness, and to their families, by providing a home environment of love, dignity and support.
