Obituary of Doris C. Woolston
Doris Cook Woolston of Brighton and formerly of Honeoye Falls and Scottsville, passed away peacefully at home with grace and dignity, just as she lived her life. Doris, who just celebrated her 95th birthday, was born in and raised her family in Honeoye Falls. She was born May 26, 1918 the daughter of Louis and Anna Gleason Cook. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Church and St. Anne's Church. Her strong faith in God and love of family sustained her throughout her life. She worked for Emmerson Electric and Eastman Kodak Co.
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken, cherished brother, Bob, his wife Grace and brother and sister in law, Bob and Jane Woolston.
Doris is survived by daughters, Joan King, Ann Woolston, Susan (Raymond) Pettis and Jane Woolston; grandsons, Tom (Letty), Brian and Michael King, Aaron and Jason (Kim) Pettis; great grandchildren Brianna and Kenneth King; several nieces and nephews.
A special message of love and admiration to her daughter Ann, who selflessly and lovingly cared for Doris. The family also extends heartfelt gratitude to Lifetime Care for their extraordinary support and compassion over the last several years.
No prior calling. Funeral Mass Thursday 10 am at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 37 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls. Burial will be held in St. Paul of the Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be sent to the National Kidney Foundation, 15 Prince St. Rochester, NY 14607.
