Obituary of Eleanor A. Allen

Eleanor A. Allen of Honeoye Falls, died June 18, 2012 at age 85 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Facility in Greece. Eleanor was member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mendon; was a retired nurse from St. Mary's Hospital; an avid sports fan and a proud fan of the New York Yankees. She was born in the Bronx, NY on August 10, 1926 the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn Goulding Pabst. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer "Bud" in 1988 and her son David in 1992. Eleanor is survived by her devoted and loving children, Lawrence (Shellee), Arthur (Patricia), Richard (Robin), Christopher and Peter Allen, Frances Allen-Fintel and Louise DeWaters; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon-Ionia Rd., Mendon, on Thursday 11 am. Mrs. Allen will be buried in Mendon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Unity Health Foundation Friends of St. Mary's Hospital, 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626; St. Catherine of Siena Church or to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, NY 14623.
