Obituary of Whitey Richardson
Bernard L. Richardson, "Whitey" of Lima, died Thursday April 11, 2013 at the Jewish Home of Rochester. He was 86. He was born the son of Walter and Ethel Staudinger Richardson on June 30, 1926 in Lima, NY. He retired from Delco in Rochester where he was a machinist. Whitey was predeceased by his wife Pat on April 6, 2013, his parents Walter and Ethel Richardson, brothers, Donald and Robert and brother in law Paul Forgue. Survived by his daughters, Lisa Richardson and Susan Buckman and his "pride and joy", his grandson Ryan Buckman all of Lima; sisters, Shirley Richardson, Joyce Forgue and sister in law Helen Richardson. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Whitey was a Little League coach, an avid Yankee and NASCAR fan and a WW II Army Veteran. He enjoyed his morning coffee at the Lima Diner with his "buddies" and his "NASCAR Pools" at Ferguson's Garage. Whitey was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
No prior calling. A Celebration of Life for both Whitey and Pat will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Lima Golf Club, where a brunch will be served during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lima Ambulance.
