Obituary of Catherine J Gordon

Catherine J. Muhs "Katie", (Mack) (Gordon) of Rush, NY died Thursday, November 24, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 94. Katie was born the daughter of William and Alice Behan Moran on September 23, 1917. She was predeceased by her husbands, Albert Mack, Nelson Gordon, Freddie Muhs, and son in law, Mike McGowan. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (John) Bean, Nancy (John) Love, Linda (Mike) Jenks and Debbie McGowan. Catherine has 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren whose birthdays she's never missed. She was born and raised in Rush, NY, owned and operated the Rush Hotel for many years, and was a member of the Rush Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Friends may call Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 2-6 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11 am at St. Josephs Church, 6105 Rush Lima Road, Rush. Burial, Holy Angels Cemetery, Scottsville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rush Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in memory of Albert and Catherine Mack.
