Obituary of Ella M. Perry

Ella Margaret Perry of Honeoye Falls, passed away at Highland Hospital in Rochester on Friday, August 19, 2011. She was born the daughter of Lee A. and Frances M. Perry Leggett on July 13, 1928 in Pitt County, North Carolina. Ella was a member of the Honeoye Falls United Methodist Church and worked for many years at the former Monroe County Tuberculosis Hospital. Ella is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Philip L. Perry; siblings Henry Leggett, Opal Townson and Marie Weiss; children Evan (Elaine) Leggett, Patricia(Al) Catalano, Dwight (Debbie) Knox and Ben Knox; grandchildren Michael (Francine) Leggett, Melissa (Peter) Staffelli, Jason Campbell, Andrew (Leanne) Campbell, Kurt (Stephanie) Knox, Eric (Laura) Knox and Keith Knox; great-grandchildren Michael and Melanie Leggett, Elijca, Shyla, Hanna, Aidan and Ella Campbell, Colin, Henry and Raiden Knox and Whitney and Sabrina Staffelli and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Ella was a kind, generous woman who cherished spending time with family and friends. Many individuals were impacted by her thoughtful deeds. She enjoyed treasures from the ocean, lighthouses, butterflies, kittens, gardening and conversations. Ella valued time with her husband. She appreciated each moment reminiscing with her sisters and brother, whole heartedly supported her children in their various endeavors and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ella's visitation will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Honeoye Falls United Methodist, 31 East Street. Burial, Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush. .
