Vida and I have been friends and will continue to be so if only in spirit now and through all of eternity. We met in college and shared many great times and experiences in this life. We shared each others good times and also the hardships that this life has dealt us. We were always able to confide in one another in all things and about all things. This really saddens me in that I thought she would finally find peace having been able to retire from government service. I know that she believed in Jesus as Lord and personal Savior just as I do. This is something that we very much so shared in common and that I know in our talks brought us through some dark times. She now lives in the light and will be thought of often in the things that shall unfold in my life. She spoke of family as most important in her life and I know that she truly loved them all. May the precious drops of Jesus blood be poured out upon her and wipe the final tears away. Now she has finally been set free. May God also wipe away all tears and sorrow for her family and true friends. Never let the memory of the good times and things that she may have been to you in lives as shared be forgotten. May she continue to live through us all in those memories as shared. Vida may you now rest in peace, through God the Father of all humankind, Jesus the Christ and son of the Father, brother to all humankind, and especially through their Holy Spirit which remains with all, AMEN.

Vida was a colleague that I worked with many times in NRCS. She was a gentle, grateful person and I am deeply saddened by her passing. Of a number of memories I have of her is her persistence. She undertook on her own to teach herself geographic information system software for use in conservation planning - and she did it well. Amongst so many others who refused to learn this complicated software, Vida prevailed and I was proud of her accomplishments. I will not soon forget her example. My prayers and tears are with her entire family. Vida is with God.

Vida and I rode to many meeting together and shared many thoughts, I always enjoyed those trips, both of us being technicians had a lot of things in common. I am very sorry to hear about her dying at such an early age, God knows the situation and knowing Vita she knew who Jesus was in her life. Paul
