Obituary of Constance L. Slagle

Connie L. Nelson Slagle Connie L. Slagle of 27 Blue Avocado Lane, Rochester, NY formerly of Jamestown, NY died peacefully Saturday, May 22, 2010 in her home. She was 85. She was predeceased by her husband, John Slagle, sister, Elna Jones and brother, Roy Nelson. Connie was born in Busti, NY on May 29, 1924, the daughter of Verner and Helga Carlson Nelson. She attended Busti Elementary School and Jamestown High School. Connie's life career was her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Bruce and Pamela Slagle of Rome, NY; Karen and Jeff Willison of Woodstock, GA; Connie Jay Slagle of Rochester, NY; John and Chris Slagle of Livonia, NY; Darlene and Lance Thrall of Statesville, NC; grandchildren, Lori and Brian Pizzini, Jeffrey Willison, Ashley and Andrew Willison Miller, John and Sarah Slagle, Mark and Melanie Slagle, Lindsay, Brett, Madison and Aidan Slagle; great grandchildren, Samantha and Austin Pizzini, Kalei and Finnegan Slagle. Also surviving are two very special nieces, Joyce Pillsbury and Phyllis Clauson of Jamestown, NY; special extended family; Michelle and Scott Clauson Kirby, Terri and Ron Linamen, Craig Pillsbury, Jim Brown and Bea Nelson, Edna Slagle, Dorothy Fleming. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will be held at 1 pm, on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Pinnacle Lutheran Church, 250 Pinnacle Rd. Henrietta. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pinnacle Lutheran Church, 250 Pinnacle Road, Rochester, NY 14623-In memory of Constance Slagle.
