Obituary of Esther M. Habecker

Esther M. Habecker of Honeoye Falls, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was 88. Esther was born May 21, 1922 in Mendon, NY the daughter of Wallace and Vera Armstrong Habecker. In 1941, Esther was a local "hello girls" telephone operator of the Honeoye Falls exchange of Rochester Telephone, until it went out of service in 1954. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mendon Fire Department and was very active in many, many Mendon Carnivals over the years. She was a very active 55 year member of the Mendon Grange thru the National Grange Pomona State. Esther is survived by many cousins and close friends. Friends may call Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 1-3 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls where her Funeral Service will follow at 3pm, the Rev. Clayton Zuber officiating. Burial, Mendon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
