Obituary of Robert C. Hartman

Robert C. Hartman, 82, of Honeoye Falls, New York died Saturday May 8th, 2010 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York. He was born January 13, 1928 in Bloomsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Clark T, Sr. and Zella (McHenry) Hartman. He attended school at Scott Township in Espy, Pa. Mr. Hartman was last employed at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY as a carpenter, retiring in 1989. He was previously employed at Magee Carpet Co. in Bloomsburg, Pa. for 22 years. His greatest joys were spending time with his sons, grandchildren and his great-grandchildren as well as his love of woodworking and fishing. Mr. Hartman served in the Army in 1946-47. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Clark Jr., William, Percy, and Carl and survived by two, Gerald and Ronald Hartman. Mr. Hartman is also survived by his loving wife Peggy J. (Downs) Hartman, with whom he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on December 12, 2009. Three children; Daughter, Mrs. Katrina (Albert) Wieand of Emmaus, Pa. and two sons, Thomas G. of Scottsville, NY and Brian J. (Anne) Hartman of Rochester, NY. five grandchildren; Sarah Wieand of New Britain, Pa., Robert, Kari, Bailey, Aaron Hartman of Rochester, NY, Five step-grandchildren; Kristen, Colleen, Kevin, Preston, and Tiernan. Three great-grandchildren Riley, Carter, Emma and loving friend Diane Tracy of Rochester, NY as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are being made by Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. in Honeoye Falls, NY. A private memorial services will be held in Bloomsburg, Pa., at Elan Memorial Park.
