Obituary of Carol Ann VanSteenberg

Carol Ann Van Steenburg age 77, died Sunday, April 4, 2010. She was born the daughter of Bernard and Clair Magee Kehoe on September 30, 1932 in Auburn, NY, where she was raised and graduated from Holy Family High School. Mrs. Van Steenburg was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and married Mr. George Van Steenburg on May 30, 1955. A mother of six and beloved grandmother of eleven, she loved family time, shopping, ice cream and sunny days. A familiar statement, "Carol believed in the importance of laughter, family, friendship and a sharp sense of style." She was predeceased in death by her husband, George M. Van Steenburg; in laws, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Mary Simpson and Mr. George Van Steenburg, Sr. She is survived by her six children, George Van Steenburg, Jr., Michael Van Steenburg, David Van Steenburg, Patricia Allison, James Van Steenburg and Robert Van Steenburg; eleven grandchildren and numerous cousins and friends who meant the world to her. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Honeoye Falls, NY and St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Livingston Manor, NY. No prior calling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:30 am in St. Paul of the Cross Church, Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, the Rev. Larry Gross officiating.
