Twenty three years ago Chuck walked into my travel agency in Mendon and said "I want to take you to lunch and talk about Rotary". Since then have been together in Rotary for 23 years! What a wonderful man.Through adversity and happy days Chuck was a source of calm, solid, and caring for all of us. We deeply loved him and will miss him and are so fortunate to have so many great memories. (Chuck made the absolute best manhattans!)Our love to you Sally and Muffy!

Five short years we shared with you "Chuckle" - You welcomed us to our new community, you brought us to Rotary, but mostly you filled our hearts as a friend. You've touched (I would guess) millions in one wonderful way or another. Our world is a better place because of you. We will continue to cherish our friendship, which was such a blessing. They say a friend is a guardian angel in disguise. Now we well and truly have a guardian angel watching over us. Our hearts ache at the moment, but all those happy memories will carry us through. We will miss you.

Coach Meis was an excellent educator/coach to many of us. Both during our school years and after. Many times reminding us to more selfless and less selfish. I enjoyed our golf during my summer visits. We will all miss him.

I knew Chuck from the retired coaches fantasy baseball league. He was a longtime member and formidable competitor, picking players that usually put him "in the money." My father, Sam Hessney, also was a longtime member before his death in 2011. Chuck was always a joy to be around and helped our league by keeping track of the prize money we contributed. Funny thing how he ended up keeping a lot of it. He was an astute judge of athletic talent. We'll miss his friendly smile, baseball knowledge and gentle ribbings.
R.I.P. Coach.

Every time I'd get together with "Coach", after he asked me about (how my Dad was)he'd tell a story about what I was like in school and "now look at you..you're the Mayor..who'd have ever thought?" Will miss you Coach and thank you for touching so many lives.

I first met Coach a short time after my father passed away some years ago, later that year I joined the HFM Rotary Club. Meeting and getting to know Coach filled a void that I had lost with my Dad's passing, and we became close friends. He was genuine, sincere and honest. His heart touched everyone he came in contact with. Coach was the truest inspiration of Service Above Self, he lived it everyday and many before myself and many that have followed are fortunate to have had the opportunity, for him share with all of us. He was more than just a friend to all that knew him, he our "Mentor" and close friend. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. Coach always had new idea's to do more for the community and it's youth. The Village and Town will miss him. I want to thank Sally & Muffy for allowing all of us to share Coach with all that we did and what we will continue to do in the future with Coach in our hearts as we go forward. Coach may you rest in peace knowing that thru your guidance and inspiration we will continue to lead by the example you gave us. I will miss you, and yes Coach the stock market is up today.

He was always "Uncle Charlie" to me. I'll remember him as one of my dad's closest friends and long-time golfing partners. When my brother and I were young, he would entertain us with his funny song about the German names for parts of the face. At midnight on New Year's Eve, he would give a silver coin to each woman in the room. And, of course, I'll remember his dedication to the LPGA tournament each year. I'll miss you, Uncle Charlie, and I'm sad you won't be there for my wedding. (I'm sure you'll be there in spirit, though.) Sally and Muffy, you're in my thoughts. With sympathy, Mark
