Obituary of Evelyn Mary McManis

Evelyn M. McManis of Rush, NY, died Monday, December 21, 2009 at age 93. She was born the daughter of Louis and Mary Bennion Grohs on July 3, 1916 in Wyoming, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Dean in 1991. Evelyn is survived by her children, Shirley Ferris, Nancy (Alvin) Sweet, Alan McManis and James Rice. Grandchildren, Donald Sweet, Brian (Rhonda) Sweet, Susanna Ferris, Dale (Heidi) Sweet, Tim (Tracey) Ferris, Nancy (Michael) Postilli, James Sweet, Jeremy Ferris and Julie Ferris; great grandchildren, Amanda, Desirae, Hannah, Christopher, Ashley, Jessica, Addison, Rachael, Jacob, Julia and Emma; sister, Doris (Bernard) Nevison; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 4-8 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls. Her Funeral will be held Monday, December 28, 1 pm at the Rush United Methodist Church, 6200 Rush-Lima Rd. Burial, Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rush United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Box 49, or to the Rush Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Fund, 1971 Rush-Mendon Road, Rush, NY 14543.
