We always enjoyed seeing such a friendly and gentle person during our years here in
Rochester and our children
being together in school. Now
we are even sadder to have missed seeing Peter when we stopped at the lake last year.
Our sympathies and prayers.

I know Peter only because he was my first wife's first boyfriend, someone she often compared me to, typically to my disadvantage. I express my sincere sympathy to the family, especially to Peter's sister, Kay Heininger and her husband Clare, who are very good friends.

Margie, Maria, Peter, Rosie, Liz and Bill,
I have such wonderful memories of Peter and all of you. I was so sorry to read about Peter's passing, but it gave me some time to think about all of the wonderful memories I have of spending time with Peter and all of you...Babysitting the "Kress kids" was always my favorite babysitting job and spending summers with all of you at Star Lake were some of my best summers. I remember Peter taking me out to sail and teaching me to play Bridge and Chess. I always thought he was the most wonderful husband and father and was very blessed to have known him and all of you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Peter was an inspiration to us. He would walk to morning Mass most every morning. He never complained, he was always so pleasant and very independent. We offered to pick him up for church, as others did, but he still walked as long as he could. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with the family. Peace Peter.

Mom and I (from Star Lake) will remember the the quiet, dignified, gentlemen that Peter was. And we will miss his presence at summer Bridge in Star Lake. He so loved to play and was a great player. Well he has another Grand Slam, this time forever.
