Bill just a note to say thanks for all the memories at "Guido's repair shop".You always shared more than just your time and knowledege but also your ability to care for everyone that you came in contact with you. We also made the time to share a beer or two or three! You will be missed. Your legacy is much greater than you may ever imagined. P.S. I hope that there are Harleys and beer in heaven.

My husband Alex and I were classmates of Bill's at East Rochester schools. I remember Bill as a quiet smiling young man who clearly had special talents. What a beautiful tribute his biography is, and how happy I am to know all that he accomplished in his life. My Alex died on Jan. 1 after a brief battle with cancer. My heart and prayers are with you. When you are ready, I hope you can reach out for comfort. Being with others in my own situation has helped me. Fran Pacilio

Billy, as we called him, was my classmate in East Rochester's Class of 1965. He was a gentle, softspoken, dear and reliable friend to many. Billy was a whiz kid with machines and cars even way back then. After reading this obituary I think it is wonderful that he was able to pursue his passion for mechanics over his lifetime and share it with a loving family and community as well.
My sympathy and prayers are with his family.

I will always remember the good times shared with Bill, Joann and Elizabeth. Bill was always there to help us with well pumps, trucks, tractors, and other projects. He was a fine man, a great friend and a large loss to his family, friends and community. He will be missed by many people

I only worked a short time with Bill at Kodak, but I enjoyed every minute of the time we shared. If there was something he could do for you, he would.
He had a big heart and will be deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Holiday meals followed by card games or board games with Bill's great laugh (or mumbled curses where we laughed). Retreating to the basement or outside to find quiet.
Two episodes of many: Flying with him, he suddenly said: It's all yours. To my horror I seemed to be "in control"; after an eternity of pitching, rolling and terror, I heard Bill quietly laughing. Glancing over, I saw his hands were loosely holding the yoke.
On Christmas 1980, Sherry and I found all the pipes in our old Rhinecliff house had frozen. No plumbers anywhere. Bill and JoAnn flew down and he spent the next week (his vacation) replumbing the house in extreme cold.
Taught me how to mix a perfect Manhattan without measuring. We all must have many, many such memories that we'll always have to enjoy after the pain of this week finally eases. All my love JoAnn, Peg (we're with you), EA (we'll catch up soon), Carol, Dave. And of course Jane and Sherry.

Bill was the definition of a true gentleman. He was always very helpful in sharing his vast knowledge, in aviation and was always ready to fly with me whenever I needed a safety pilot. He was extremely generous with both his time and sharing of his wisdom and knowledge about the finer aspects of flying. I am going miss Bill deeply both as a friend and fellow aviator.
May his soul rest in eternal peace as he flies speedily into Heaven.

Oh my dear friend...my heart is very sad today as I think back on a few of my memories we had together. Though they were few and far between, they were always great! I remember the time you flew out here to Colorado in your plane and took Chuck, Katie and I up for a short ride over our property, and how you would help us work on our log home when you visited. However, my fondest memories will always remain our motorcycle trips to Canada and Sturgis...now that was a good time and a lot of fun!
I will miss you my dear friend...
