Chip, was one of the most interesting people I ever had the pleasure of meeting, he had such a unique personality. We use to practice soccer after school and we would catch up on all the drama and laugh about it because sometimes that made going through high school a whole lot easier. Chip use to come to our house and ride around on my mothers extra mechanical wheelchair where he would proceed challenge my mother to racing with him down our driveway. Im always forever going to think of you and that wheelchair which is still sitting in the back room where Chip, Liz Kellner and I use to hang out and watch disney movies, talk and eat popcorn.
Well always have that one year that started our friendship and I will never forget how much you helped me deal with everything. I am so honored to have had the privledge to become one of your friends and I know your watching over everyone and playing soccer in heaven. I miss and love you and wish I could of been there for you today. Rest in Peace Chip
My Condolences to the Day family, may you stay strong.

Dear Day family, You don't know me, but I know of your wonderful son, Chip. My sister was Martha Trott, Lizzy's mom, and I remember her telling me last spring what a nice boy Chip was, and how glad she was that he and Lizzy were friends. Nothing I can say will ever ease your pain, but rest assured that I feel certain that Chip and my sister are in the same place now. She will hold him in her arms and take care of him until you are all united again. Martha loved young people more than anyone else I ever knew and she will see that he is comforted until you see him next. If there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. I will pray every day for all of you, for your comfort and peace. This time will seem so long to you, but for Chip, it will pass in the twinkling of an eye.

Chip and I were close friends in my senior year of high school, his junior year. We spent a lot of time together with Liz Ogden and shared some of the best memories of my senior year that I will never ever forget. Our friendship seemed to help us both get through rough times. I miss him so much. I will always hold the memories I had with him close to my heart. I wish I told him that he helped me as much as he thought I helped him. My thoughts are with all of his loved ones. I am so grateful for the time that I got to share with him. He really was someone special.

Chip,
From the day I met you, I could tell just what a "loveable rogue" (to steal your dad's term) you were. Your love of life, your wonderful sense of humor, the love you showed for your family through your actions are treasures you have left us to hold onto.
I will most treasure however, the times we had to sit and chat about your goals and dreams. Thank you for spending the time with me you did. As a father of both young adults and teenagers I know how hard it is sometimes for young adults to be open with us "old" people (aka "parents"). You and I never seemed to have that problem.
May you rest in peace and may God rest your soul.

It's hard to start with Chip, because I've never known anyone like him before. I was never close, close friends with Chip, but I clearly remember his love of soccer and David Beckham, like most other English guys. I remember how he was the class clown, always trying to make some sort of joke about the topic. But most of all, I remember his don't-take-life-for-granted attitude, an attitude I've always had trouble maintaining. If there's anything I've learned from all this, it's to achieve your dreams every day, and let nothing stop you. Thank you, Chip, for helping me see that, and may you rest in peace and enjoy your new home in heaven.
