My sincere condolences on your Mom's death. She was always very dear to me, as my "second Mom" in school in Phoenix. I remember her smiling face and calm demeanor. And so many things from the times spent at your house in Phoenix - the barrell of apples, the big willow tree at the river, and many other memories which we can share when I see you sometime again. With love to all of you, Naomi

We remember your family from our days at First Baptist Church, Phoenix. I especially remember your Dad since we spent time together. One time we were climbing ladders replacing the lights in the top of the sanctuary. Sorry to hear about your mother but she had a long and fruitful life. Now we can look forward to seeing her in Heaven someday

Phil,Doug, Judy and Sue,
I remember all of you when you were students and my husband was Band Director in Phoenix. Your Mom and I were both teachers in the Dillon School at the same time. She was such a kind, warm, gentle, friendly person and a WONDERFUL librarian. Her smile always brought cheer to those around her.The students (including my own daughters, Sandy and Susie) just loved her and "her library". She and I accidentally discovered one day that we had both belonged to the same sorority in Potsdam a few years apart. Treasure all your precious memories and you will always have her with you in your hearts and in your lives. Best Wishes to you and your families.

When I saw the name "Benoit" then that smile, I knew this was my elementary school librarian (Phoenix). Mrs. Benoit was such a warm friendly person and was so interested in encouraging children to read and learn. Because it's been about 50 years since I knew her, I don't have many specific memories, but I do remember her warm personality being a huge factor in helping a shy, awkward little girl feel welcome and accepted in the library.
