In fall 1966,I came a day early to St.John Fisher's opening of Haffey Hall, and was told to come back"tomorrow".I was a freshman, and it was Fr.Poupore who displayed kindness, compassion, and sensitivity to me that I never forgot. He made sure that I was able to stay in the dorms that evening though it was"against the rules".I graduated 1970,and though I did not stay in touch,I will always remember him as a man who helped me in a difficult time and was very welcoming.Rest in peace,Fr.Poupore!

Fr. Poupore instilled in me a life long love of history. He was the consummate professor. To this day I can still see him standing at the podium with a samll glass of water lecturing on medieval history. He touched so many lives in such a positive way. All are blessed who had the opportunity to know him.

Dear Fr.Gary, although you may have been separated from us geopgraphically speaking, you were never far from our thoughts. Much the same way that you will always be a "valley boy". Say hi to mom and dad. Rest in peace.

In his quiet scholarly way, Fr. Poupore radiated the love and wisdom of Christ. It is a privilege to have known him.

Father Poupore was my advisor and mentor at St John Fisher. I have only fond memories of our brief time together. He is my thoughts and prayers
