Obituary of Jane J. Sensenbach
Jane J. Sensenbach of Honeoye Falls, died Friday, March 27 at age 90, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband, Wilson E. Sensenbach and her sister, Thelma Thornton. Survived by her sons James (Marte) Sensenbach, of Glendale, CA; Richard Sensenbach, of Rochester; Bruce (Sheila) Sensenbach, of Williamson, NY; a daughter, Doreen (Terry) Haller of Honeoye Falls, NY; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Jane was born in 1925 to James and Anita Jolly, in Youngstown, Ohio. She entered military service in the Woman's Army Corp (WAC) in 1945, achieving a Victory Ribbon. Jane was very active in her community. She was a reporter for the Honeoye Falls Times, hosted numerous exchange students through the years, and involved in Scouting both for boys and girls. She was a member of the Totiakton Garden Club, Rotary (Paul Harris Fellow Award), North Bloomfield Community Association, American Legion, founding member of the West Bloomfield Volunteer Ambulance as well as being West Bloomfield Court Clerk. She was an active 56+ year member of First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls. Over the years she served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee as well as Heath Fellowship, Sunday School, Youth Fellowship, and Findlay Circle. After retirement, Jane and Wilson also served as missionaries in Lahore, Pakistan for three years. She will be missed by many who loved her unfailing good humor and devotion to her family, church and community.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Merton Kays Funeral Home, Honeoye Falls. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 10, at 11 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls. Friends are invited to share memories and a cup of tea with the family following the service at a reception at the church. Internment in North Bloomfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First Presbyterian Church of Honeoye Falls, North Bloomfield Community Association (1891 State Route 65, Honeoye Falls) or the Alzheimers Association.
