Obituary of Donald L. Powell

Powell, Donald L. Donald L. Powell of Dansville, died at his home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 after a lengthy strong willed courageous battle with cancer. Donnie was born December 5, 1957 in Dansville, NY the son of Donald and Virginia Taylor Powell. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Virginia Powell and infant daughter Brook. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elaine Powell; children, Amy (John) Morris, Jesse Powell (Emily Renzoni), Rebecca (Dave) Rawleigh; grandsons, Austin, Tyler and Brandon Powell, Jeffery and Gary Rawleigh; sisters, Joyce (Bill) Potts and Judy Powell; brother, Tony (Deb) Powell. Father in law, Robert Eisenberg; sister in law Karen (Tom) McHale; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Donnie worked at NYSOCFS for 35 years. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the NY Giants. Donnie enjoyed family life, he lived life simply and will best be remembered for his strong spirit and telling it like it is. Friends may call Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 11am to 2 pm at the Chamberlin Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main Street, Dansville, where Services will follow calling at 2 pm.
