Obituary of Ada C. Levine
Ada C. Levine, born in Drifting, PA on May 27, 1925 and died July 16, 2014. Born 10 of 11 children to Mabel and Albert Heffler. She graduated High School in Clearfield, PA at the age of 16. She moved to Niagara Falls, NY and worked at Bell Aerospace inspecting planes during WW II. While living there, she met Bill Levine through mutual relatives. Ada moved back to Pennsylvania where she married her husband Bill. They moved back to Niagara Falls in 1953 where they lived together until his passing. Ada continued on to raise their last 2 children and in 1979 moved to Cuba, NY to the home in progress they had intended to retire to. With family help she finished their home and lived there for many years. Ada worked in Cuba at Acme Electric until she retired at the age of 74. She was a skilled seamstress and created and sewed wedding gowns for her daughter Michele and granddaughters Natalie and Kelly. Ada moved in with her daughter Michele and son in law Dan after a short illness and made her home with them in Honeoye Falls, NY. One of her joys was to watch the deer grazing and playing in the yard outside the window. She loved reading, working crosswords and playing games on her computer. She enjoyed gardening, and had beautiful gardens at her Cuba home. Ada also enjoyed outings to the casino to play the slot machines, usually winning. Family was first priority for her and getting together for holidays was a must. Her Christmas trees were a work of art and she spent hours decorating them. Ada had a busy, fulfilling life and worked hard throughout it. Her family will mourn her passing and celebrate her life with humor.
Ada is predeceased by her husband William, Sr.; sons William Jr. and his wife Toni, and Mark Levine. Ada is survived by her daughters, Colleen (Robert) King, Michele (Daniel) Caryl, Tara (Jerry Lewis) Levine; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister, Loretta Wells; several nieces and nephews.
