Obituary of Philip J. Kellogg
Philip James Kellogg passed away on April 2nd, 2024 at his home in Mendon New York. He was born on February 18th, 1952 to William and Sara Kellogg in Utica, New York. The youngest of four boys, he was predeceased by his parents and his brothers William and Robert.
Phil is survived by his wife Connie, and his sons Ethan (Martha), Trevor (Alejandra), Brian, and his brother David. He has 3 grandchildren Lucas, Evelyn, and Genevieve. He loved all of them deeply and the feeling was shared by his family. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Phil grew up in New Hartford NY, and attended the University of Rochester where he met Connie in 1974. Connie and Phil were married in 1981 in Delphi Falls NY. He worked in Production Control at the Getinge Castle company for the early part of his adult life. When his children were still in high school and college, he resumed academic studies at RIT to complete his accounting degree and then became an auditor for the NYS Sales Tax Division until he retired in 2018.
Phil enjoyed reading about American history, presidential biographies, astronomy, watching old movies and the Beatles. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family, and the many friends he made over the years. A friendship with Phil Kellogg was a timeless gift.
Phil's Celebration of Life service will be held at Centerway Church at 936 Cheese Factory Rd, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 on Saturday April 13th at 11am, with a luncheon reception at the church to follow. No prior calling hours are planned.
